Paul Revere didn't say " the British are coming". You'll have to look at the attached picture (which is not of Paul Revere) to see what he really said. As we said in our previous email, we're finally in the Boston area. The weather is perfect (at least until Sunday) and we've got a great place to stay. With rooms in the city going for astronomical rates because of the baseball playoffs, we're in our on little unrealistic Air Force world where there hasn't been any inflation for 30 years. So we'll move from the family camp, which isn't bad, to a room for a couple of nights. We are now in a Starbucks in Lexington which is a quaint place in its' own right. We have a good t-mobile signal, but can't get on line for some reason. Tomorrow we will take a trolley/walking/boat tour of Boston to test our endurance and ability to read rapid transit instructions.

After sending the email from Borders yesterday, we moved south intending to go all the way to the Boston area. On a whim, and because we needed gas, we checked with the Navy Lodge at Brunswick Naval Air Station to see if they had a room available (they had been full forever the last time we checked). They did, so we spent a nice relaxing afternoon and evening there. It was also warm enough that we could wash the van which really needed it. Today we drove west through southern Maine and northern New Hampshire to see the fall color. While we were probably still ahead of the peak color, what we saw was really beautiful. We're now at a Family Camp at Hanscom AFB about 20 miles outside of Boston, near Lexington and Concord.
