Last night and tonight are being spent in Pensacola, FL visiting one of the most beautiful military facilities in the US.

It helps that the temperature is a perfect 72 degrees with no wind or clouds.

Again we have stumbled into great accommodations. The secret is you have to totally be prepared to be told to sleep on the street.

November 14-18, 2003

On the way out of DC we saw the Army's medical museum at Walter Reed. Fetal skeletons along with civil war injuries that took days to become fatal were there for all to see.

We also visited the Manassas battlefield and the mall at Potomac Mills which turned out to be just like all the other malls in the country.

The following two nights we spent in the Virginia Beach area refreshing our memories of where we both lived before we met each other. You will see Colleen's first job and apartment.

We moved on down I-95 to the Charleston - Savannah area. Both cities are impressive in their abilities to maintain their historical settings when politics would normally get in the way.
