We strive to produce the total package in our dogs ~

Health, Temperment and Stucture

Starr Shepherds is a small kennel that specializes in White Shepherds. We are a 'kennel' in name only as our dogs are beloved family companions as well as part of our breeding program.  We are located in Salem, Oregon.  We are very active with our dogs and attend as many events with them as possible. We are a hobby kennel that takes a serious approach to our dogs.  All breedings have been done only after much research and consideration has been made to the match and only after titles have been acquired on the dogs and hip certifications with OFA and or PennHIP. Our dogs, as well as any puppies, are raised in our home and loved/trained and well socialized by our family.  

Excellent Health, Great Temperament & Correct Structure are top priorities for our breeding program.  We strive to produce dogs that better the White Shepherd breed, producing puppies that will not only be your best friend but can excel in the show-ring, on the agility course, the herding field, in dog sports or as a therapy dog. We strive to produce the total package in our dogs. Our dogs can do what is asked of them and are Shining STARRS!!

We place puppies only with approved homes and temperament test puppies (using the Volhard Method) to assure that they are placed with a family that is best matched to the puppy.  We want our puppies placed in forever loving homes.
