Montpellier
Chateau Montrottier IntroChateau Montrottier Photographs
Montpellier is a nice town that seems to be a major transfer station between trains in Southern France. It has peaceful origins, and has led a fairly peaceful existence throughout its time. The city its self is fairly modern, with a huge boom in its population in the 1960’s. IT is known mainly for its former aristocratic villas and its medical school. However, there are also some nice parks (that was my theme this trip to France) and a nice town square. Since my interest in Montpellier was purely recreational I did very little historical research on the town, though I know there is more to tell. Essentially I found it a nice town to visit on a stop over for lunch, though I know there is more for tourists to do in this lovely town. I hope you enjoy the photos.
