Arc de Triumph
Arc de Triumph Information Arc de Triumph Photographs
Napoleon had many complexes. One of them was an inferiority complex where he had to prove himself and the French better than any other culture. As a result he tried to take over most (all) of Europe. In the process, he tried to mirror the Roman Empire by building the grandest triumphant arch of them all in Paris. The Arc de Triumph. This huge arch was completed just in time for his funeral procession to pass under it. It has an impressive view of all of Paris. The only catch is getting up to it, which is accomplice going through a maze of passages ways under one of the busy intersections in France. I was told that it is a right of passage to navigate it on the day you get your driver's license.

I hope you enjoy the photos. Any comments, please E-mail me, .
