Sinclair ZX-80

My first computer was a Sinclair ZX80 that I built from a kit in 1982. It cost $100 and taught me that programming was not a desirable option for a carreer. I could do it, but it simply didn't do anything for me. I'm a hardware guy. Building the kit was fun, programming simply wasn't.

The Sinclairs had a large, active user group for some time. I bought several accessories from members of the group and subscribed to . . . When I retired it, it had a 16k RAM pack, a stringy floppy and a printer. All worked well and were fun to play with.

I later bought a Timex Sinclair 100 (ZX81) which was much more sophisticated, but it got little use as I was involved with the Heathkit H100 by then.
