My first Bending Branches paddle, purchased in 2004, was a Tailwind Evening, 250 cm. (custom length). It's the one on the far left.

It has a "dripless" feature that works very well depending on your paddling style.

I have paddled miles with the Tailwind and like it very much but my paddling style defeats the "dripless" feature. It is intended for low angle paddlers. If you lift your paddle no higher than your shoulders, you will probably find the Tailwind sending all the water outside the hull.
As of late 2007, Bending Branches has discontinued the "dripless" feature on theTailwind models. They found that it wasn't a compelling sales feature and cost more to make than it was worth. You can get the same blade sizes/styles in a plain blade now. I'll most likely keep this paddle for use by the front seat paddler in my GII. My wife is a very low angle paddler so it'll work great for her.
My second BB paddle is a Sun Shadow Day 260cm. purchased in 2007. The Day blade is closer to the size and shape of my SRS workhorse paddle.

I like it even better than the Tailwind but for one thing. I bought it even longer than the Tailwind, anticipating using it for solo paddling the GII from the center of the boat where it's widest (34" beam). I discovered I prefer paddling solo from the rear seat so it's way too long. My 250cm paddles are at the max for the rear seat position. I'll probably be selling it to someone who likes to paddle a single canoe with a kayak paddle.
Bending Branches has also discontinued the regular Sun Shadow line. It is now available only in the Crank model. So to get the equivalent of the regular Sun Shadow you simply buy a Tailwind with the same blade as it no longer has the dripless feature. That might be a bit confusing but it works out. Just talk to Rick Raffesberger, he'll set you straight. Great guy to talk with. Knows paddles and how to choose 'em.
Highly recommended company.
