Modifying Folbots

One of the many, great characteristics of Folbots is that they are so easily modified with common tools. If you're reasonably good with a ruler, a hacksaw and a drill, you can make many custom mods to your boat. Those who have sewing skills can do even more.

I'm no good at sewing, but I have had great success with mechanical mods, ranging from as simple as adding a Velcro strip to corral loose tubing ends, to adjustable footrests that double as rudder controls. The mods below, with variations, can apply to any Folbot.

Most people, but especially children, need a seat riser in a GII - 2004.

Add footpegs to a Greenland II - 2004.

Corral those loose tubing ends - 2005.

Add footpegs to a Kodiak - 2008.

Change Expedition Package Velcro to Hypalon - 2008-09.
