The World Time System

Has no one figured out that it would be simpler for everyone if the time were the same worldwide?

Have you ever made a call to China or Australia or, worst of all, Indiana during Daylight Savings Time? Did you spend some significant effort trying to figure out what time it was there so you could call when you both were at home and awake? Why is this so hard? If the time were the same everywhere, instead of asking how many hours difference between you and your friend and then trying to figure which way around the world you go to subtract (or add) the correct number of hours, you simply ask what time they are home or at the office or whatever. Then you pick a time that fits your schedule and you're done. Nobody has to do the math.

How simple.
