We had heard of White Pines from others and finally checked it out when we were in the area one summer. We've since stayed in the White Pines Inn on our own and also taken the kids.In Dec of 2004 we took the kids for an overnight and did the Christmas Bear & Tree package. There was a teddy bear for each of the kids on the bed when we arrived. The next morning we went to a nearby Christmas tree farm to pick out and cut our own tree to take home. Lots of fun. Unfortunately, they no longer offer that package. They still offer the teddy bears as an add-on in the Specials Touches list.
We also took the kids with us another winter to see Scrooge. It's an interactive version of Dickens' Christmas Carol with many modifications. Lots of fun if you don't mind being part of a stage show.
Most of the cabin packages also include some discount coupons for the Lodge Restaurant, a pretty decent place to eat. It's very handy, only a few yards from the cabins.
