Deceptive Dice
A member of the audience is asked to stack three dice as shown below. With only a casual glance at the dice, the magician names the total of the hidden sides.
The Secret:
Simply look at the number showing on the top die, and subtract it from 21.
The top and bottom numbers on any die always add up to 7. Since this trick uses three dice, their total is three times that. The top number is the only one not hidden; you must subtract it from the total of 21.
