Jupiter 2009

Jupiter in 2009 has been low in the sky because it's in a place in its orbit where it favors observing from the Earth's southern hemisphere.  Indeed its declination is -16° which is low.  That means we have to take our images through lots of unsteady air.  However, I never tire of Jupiter's four Galilean Moons as their positions change from night to night and I always enjoy watching Jupiter's great red spot.  .
