Proposed Map Grading Scale

As one of the few women members of the Road Map Collectors Association, I would like to share my semi-serious approach to this hobby. Needless to say, my views may not concur with the group's.

Scans come from my personal collection of maps, accumulated since 1996. They are presented for educational purposes, with publication information given as accurately as possible. In most cases, the commercial artists' identities are unknown. If you might know who they were, or if you have questions to ask, please e-mail me at the address at the bottom of the page.

If there are maps you believe should be included, either from a positive or negative standpoint, tell me. Sins of omission are either from ignorance or due to the limitations of my collection. I have featured some different covers than those in Hitting the Road and on Jon Roma's excellent site. There aren't many good sources for map information, and if you're a dedicated map or petroliana collector, there are several covers you've seen too many times.

I may forward your e-mails to Roadmaps-L if they contain stumpers; therefore, you may want to contact the RMCA webmaster at roadmaps.org directly instead of me with specific map questions. If you don't want the e-mail forwarded, please say so!

This site is best viewed at high resolution. (Aren't they all?) 1024x768 is optimal. If your browser is set for 'small' or 'smaller' text size, the site won't display well.

In an unusual burst of conformity, it is optimized for Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0. In a usual burst of cautiousness, I have deleted 'mailto' links.
