What has been called past-life regression therapy became popularized in the 1980's and 1990's with the publication of South Florida/Miami area psychiatrist Brian Weiss, M.D.'s Many Lives, Many Masters and subsequent books such as Through Time Into Healing and Messages From The Masters. Past life therapy and past life regressions are really an ancient method of healing reintroduced to the Western psychiatric community by Dr. Weiss, as the individual is guided to access the memories and wisdom of the soul and other spiritual guidance while in a hypnotic or trance-like state. The individual can be guided to the root of a psychological or physical issue (including illnesses and traumas), and can find healing and resolution through reprocessing and cathartic release. While the therapy is typically called past life regression, future progression can also occur, as well as accessing any imagery or level of reality the soul or subconscious wishes to reveal. A person may go into the spirit realm and communicate with guides or deceased loved ones (Michael Newton's books describe that process), they may be given lessons and even make choices about what they want to experience and learn about in their incarnations. As a therapist I have witnessed a wide spectrum of experiences during regressions, and have had some people recall specific past-life information, such as names, dates, and locations, which could not have been imagined by coincidence. Researchers such as Dr. Ian Stevenson have meticulously documented the validity of past-life recall, so this phenomenon is not rejected by professionals due to lack of evidence, but due to its threatening entrenched belief systems. Although lifetimes may appear to follow a sequence through time, I believe that from the Soul/Higher Self perspective, time as we perceive it is an illusion and our lifetimes are in a certain sense being processed simultaneously within our Soul. Even Albert Einstein once pointed out that time and space are merely persistent illusions. Spirit and consciousness are the essence of reality, and we are learning many lessons about love, life, balance, and harmony as we partake of the Earth experience.I initially trained in hypnotherapy with Harry Henshaw in North Miami Beach. Harry is a relaxation and healing music professional as well. Having attended experiential workshops with past-life regression practitioners such as Linda Adler (a former client and student of Brian Weiss), I soon began to read and study everything I could on this subject, including audios from the Edgar Cayce organization (A.R.E.) the modern Essenes, Dick Sutphen, Roger Woolger, Brian Weiss, Carol Bowman, and others. As a trained counselor and experienced reiki pracitioner and meditator, this process seemed very natural to me... and it is not essentially different from doing standard regression within the current lifetime as regular hypnosis instruction teaches - the therapist just needs to have an open mind about what can be accessed and transformed.
I offer individual and group regression sessions, and guide you toward accessing your own inner guidance and wisdom. I've observed and heard a variety of hypnotherapists guiding myself and others in regressions and learned a lot about what our Soul is capable of. This can be a very profound and healing experience, and I wish to help each client feel comfortable with this process.
