The head light is from an old tractor and the seat was made from an old
aluminum heat lamp shroud. I used closed cell foam (one of those 1/2" blue
sleeping bag mats), 3M 77 adhesive and 80 grit paper on a block to get
the shape then covered it in an old t-shirt.
About six inches was cut off the tail and the rear hoop was welded back on.
All un-needed tabs and brackets were cut off and ground down. I'd guess
about twenty pounds of dead weigh was chopped off the bike. About two of
that was the stock wiring harness.
Rear shocks were replaced by a set of fabbed struts about 10-1/2" long. Stock
rear fender was rotated forward and re-mounted.
Originally the tail light and plate were side mounted but the bike is so
small that it got in the way. Changed it over to a fender mounted bullet
light from JCW and fabbed up a simple plate mount.
Those HD sporty mufflers were cobbed onto the stock pipes by a previous owner.
They don't sound terrible.
Just a few parts removed and a couple of cuts.
Cut the springs on the rear shocks so she was sitting on the bumpers.
After a little clean up, battery, a good carb swamping she fired right
up and rode fine. Could have dumped her then but I can't leave anything alone.
The one below is way she was sitting for quite some time at her old
home. She had the typical ancient battery and green carbs.
Stole it with a title and current tabs for 200 bucks.
