Kate's Apartment, Monday Evening --------- Having stretched out, Kate's feet were on the edge of the table in front of them while she was stretched until her head rested against the top of the back of the couch. Feeling like a teenager again, the brunette had made her way next to the redhead, but had yet to initiate any contact with the woman. Dana always managed to lose herself in movies, especially old black and white movies. Add the classic Hitchcock twisting story along with a few glasses of wine and she had finally really relaxed and was thoroughly enjoying the movie, and company. She had taken off her shoes and twisted sideways, her legs curled under her as she leaned against the back of the couch, an elbow resting on the couch back, her hand cushioning her cheek and head. A break in the action allowed Dana to focus back on her surroundings and she stole a glance over at the brunette. Kate saw the shift of red hair to her side, but resisted the urge to look back, yet. "Enjoying the movie?" she asked instead, keeping her voice soft and her tone low. Dana's eyes drifted back up along the artist's body, her attention fully rested away from the movie. Matching the woman's tone and volume, "Yeah. For some reason it seems even better than the last time I watched it. Amazing how you can see something again and again and then suddenly find something new and breath-taking changing your whole view of what you have been seeing." "I know what you mean," Kate said, sparing a long glance in Dana's direction before looking back at the screen. "Comfortable?" Finding the quick glimpse of the woman's face, barely illuminated by the light from the TV, too brief, Dana sighed to herself but turned her attention back towards the screen. Somehow Jimmy Stewart's plight suddenly did not seem to be the most interesting thing in the room anymore. "Not totally, no." Dana remarked casually as she pushed off the back of the couch and leaned forward so she could grab her wine glass. "That so?" Kate asked, keeping her tone even, leaning forward for her own wine glass. "Anything I can do to help with that?" Finishing off the rest of her glass, Dana used the action to give herself a mental push so she would finish what she had started. She was beginning to think it had been a bad attempt at trying to make a snappy reply; she tried not to think of how many attempts in the past had gone down in flames. Dana replaced her empty glass on the table. "I could use some more wine maybe?" Dana looked away then as her spoken words did not match the ones she had been thinking about. As the action she had brought up was not the one she had intended when she had answered Kate's question. "Alright, but after this we'll have to open another bottle, and then I won't be able to let you drive home," Kate said, leaning to grab the bottle and split the rest between both of their glasses. Dana's mind played over Kate's words even as she decided to act and not think as much. As the brunette filled the glasses, Dana moved over invading the space Kate had been occupying so if the woman resumed her position, she would at very least have to brush up against the agent some. "Would that be a bad idea? Opening up another bottle that is," she added the last in a hurry her hesitation to take the conversation to another level still driving her words. "Well, I know that I-" Kate said, surprised by Dana's closer proximity, but not at all displeased, "I certainly wouldn't mind more," she said softly. Dana was quiet as she watched the way the changing light from the TV caused the shadows to flicker and dance across Kate's face. She leaned her elbow back against the couch once again cradling the side of her head as she continued mapping the woman's face. "You have such excellent taste. The food, your art, the music the other night, the wine... I can only imagine what other talents you have hidden." "Says the gorgeous, doctor, FBI director," Kate returned, leaning to mimic Dana's position, leaving them face to face. "Gorgeous?" Dana said her voice colored with true doubt. "And please, those are just some work titles, nothing more. You are the one with special talent... and beauty." She smiled then glad the woman had turned as it gave her a better view as the movie was relegated to simple background noise. "Titles that carry with them impressive lists of accomplishments," Kate countered. "More like representing years of lost time trying to earn those titles and keep up with those titles. Besides accomplishments are nothing unless you have someone to share them with, or at least brag about to..." She countered. The word talents had triggered something and she found her self moving closer as she started studying the woman's eyes. "I'm more than willing to listen. Remember?" Kate asked, subconsciously licking her lips as she read Dana's face. "If you say that again, there's no taking it back," Dana whispered as she suddenly realized how close she was to the other woman. However she did not pull away as she was still trying to see if Kate's eyes looked different. "It gets so lonely sometimes with no one to talk to other than about a case or medical condition." She swallowed hard even as she found herself looking more into than at Kate's eyes her focus on how she could now make out the blue coloring contrasting against the dark pupils. "Do you ever accept an initial offer? Or even a second?" Kate asked, her eyes still trying to see everything on the redhead's face. Blinking her eyes once, she felt the shift, knowing that her pupils were dilated, letting her see much more of the woman. "Oh," Scully noted a change in Kate's eyes and pushed off the back of the couch as she started to lean in more to track the change. She stopped as she felt a little light-headed and put out her other hand to steady herself, her hand resting on Kate's leg. She blinked then and looked back at Kate, "I... Trust is something that... that was taken from me and eroded to a point of sometimes almost being paranoid. I'm sorry I... I've been hurt many times in the past." She squeezed Kate's leg some. "But sometimes I surprise myself and let go. But it's hard to do that unless I know someone is there, someone I can trust to catch me..." She bit her lip and felt her forehead furrow then as she admitted some of her deep feelings. "Relax, I've got you," Kate said, her free hand moving to try and brush the furrow's from Dana's forehead. "You can trust me." She felt the soothing caress of Kate's fingers and tried not to let her frown deepen. "It's been so long, I'm not sure I..." Dana stopped then trying to put away her fears as she could see only honesty and sincerity in Kate's face and mannerisms. She reached placing a hand against the woman's cheek hoping the connection would help to ease her conflicting thoughts. "Sometimes I miss what's right in front of me, or seem to ignore offers simply because I don't realize what's being given. And then when I do, it's too late... I can tease out the clues when working on a case but when it comes to understanding what someone is saying on a personal level... I seem to not be very good in that department." "You have plenty of time to work on that," Kate said, her hand moving down to cup Dana's cheek. "And I'll remind you of anything you might have forgotten." "Do I have a chance?" She gasped then as she had meant to say time. Leaning in, Kate gave her a soft, slow kiss before gently pulling back. "You have everything." She pushed a little against Kate's face hoping to slow her retreat. "I do now. But what could I possibly offer you, name it and..." She trailed off then as she had been leaning forward even as Kate had moved back as she wanted to kiss the woman, to feel those lips again on hers. "Just kiss me," Kate said, her arm moving from the back of the couch to the seat behind her, holding her up against Dana's forward pressure. Needing no further prodding, Dana leaned in eagerly pushing her lips against Kate's. Her hand slid up the artist's leg to rest on the side of her hip even as she brushed more against Kate. She inhaled taking in the warm scent of the woman even as she pulled back, not breaking the kiss but simply easing the pressure slightly so she could explore with more than her lips. One hand moving to the back of Dana's neck, Kate returned the kiss, being sure to match the redhead's speed, letting her set the pace. The touches and tastes assaulting her senses worked to heighten the euphoric feeling spreading through Dana's body. She briefly recalled how it had felt the other night to kiss the woman. That thought lead to the realization of how much she wanted this woman, physically and emotionally. How she had not had interaction in either of those areas in such a very long time. Letting herself fall into the warmth building throughout her body, she closed her eyes as she alternated between pressing her lips against Kate's and slowly working to deepen the kiss. Her hand sliding around to tangle in the brunette hair even as her other hand began tracing along the hemline of the woman's jeans. Wanting to free her second hand, Kate began to lean back, pulling Dana down on top of her. Once they were down, the brunette put her now free hand on Dana's lower back, pulling the redhead tighter. Not fighting the movement, Dana shifted her weight some to one knee to accommodate the position change. Settling against the body, Dana shivered then as she felt a warm flush run through her system her in response to the way Kate's body rubbed against hers. Rather than stop or pull back, Dana repeated Kate's earlier words about letting go and being there to catch her to herself as she used a hand to tuck brown hair behind an earlobe her fingers stroking over the woman's cheek and ear. "You're not going to let me crash or fall, right?" "Never," Kate whispered, looking up at Dana, her thumb moving to brush the redhead's cheek. Dana was silent just looking down at Kate, her eyes drawn to the emotion displayed in the meta's face. Mirroring the way Kate's thumb brushed across her face, the red-head ran her hand across Kate's cheek before letting her fingers glide into the soft, thick hair. As her hand tangled, she leaned down capturing the woman's lips even as she moved pushing some against Kate's lower body as she started to reposition herself on the couch. Growing more and more aware as Dana moved against her, Kate struggled against the urge to make the next step. This was about Dana. Finding the kissing to be producing feelings that were consuming more and more of her attention, Dana let her hand wander freely touching the brunette randomly on the arm or side or shoulder even as she took a breath to help overcome her deep hesitation at the newness of this act. The agent began working on the lips, using her teeth and tongue wanting to deepen not just the kiss but wanting to intensify the way she was feeling, her body's want growing, pushing her to intensify all of her actions. One of Kate's hands moved up the redhead's back, pausing between her shoulder blades while the other settled on a hip. Pulling up some, Dana reigned in her actions, trying not to lose herself totally, something she was afraid of and yet wanted. Her breathing having picked up a little, she licked her lips as her eyes traced Kate's facial features. "Is this too much?" "You tell me," Kate said, looking up at Dana and trying not to want her more. "I'd don't want to push you into anything, or make you feel obligated." "You are not doing either of those things," She reassured even as her hand continued to run across Kate's scalp and through the brown hair. "You are making me feel very," She paused and gave a half laugh, "Well to keep from sounding dirty I'll go with cliché and say alive. And, well you'd never push me into anything but pushing might not be a bad thing in every sense. I... I've not been in this situation really before so I'm..." She paused not liking to point out her self doubts and uncertainty in this area but wanting to be honest with Kate. "Just do what feels right. What feels good," Kate smiled softly, giving Dana's hip a gentle squeeze. "You feel good," She admitted as she leaned down wanting to taste those full lips again. "Mm-hmm..." Kate agreed, quickly and easily slipping back to letting Dana lead the way. Her tongue began to lick and slide across and then into the woman's mouth exploring, each new sensation stoking the warm feeling pushing through Dana. She let her hand also explore, her fingers gliding over any exposed skin they could reach. Her hand tightening on Dana's hip, Kate was trying not to notice every subtle movement the redhead made. Feeling another shiver run through her, Dana closed her eyes even as she changed her pace trying to not push too much. To slow down, she pulled back just enough so she could slide her kisses across Kate's lips and then following the jawline continued to place slow kiss at intervals down the cheek heading towards the woman's shoulder. As she trailed kisses she found her hand wanting to map and feel more of the woman began to toy and play with the edge of the woman's blouse, her fingers pulling on the material or pushing it up to dart a few fingers across skin just above the jean hemline before going back to toying with the cloth. Keeping her eyes closed tight, Kate slowly tilted her head to the side, both to give Dana plenty of access and also to let her try and calm her chaotic thoughts. Encouraged by Kate's actions, Dana took advantage of the new position and let her lips trail over the woman's cheek, jaw and finally down along the side of her neck. Dana found herself alternating between kissing and just running her face over the woman's skin breathing in as she did. She found the smells and scents to be as intoxicating as the tastes and touches. She scooted down slightly as her kisses trailed lower down the neck towards the shoulder her action causing her upper body to rub some against Kate. Letting go a deep breath, Kate gripped at Dana's shirt. "Dana..." she murmured. "Yeah," she quipped back after a moment before delving back down wanting to take another taste. She then gripped the edge of Kate's shirt in her hand to try and get a hold on her actions. Lifting herself some, she opened her eyes looking down at Kate. As soon as the thought at how ravishing the woman below her looked had made its way through her mind, she regained control of her voice, "Is everything ok?" Kate nodded, turning back to Dana and opening her eyes. "Very ok," she smiled; her breath still a bit heavy. Swallowing hard, the agent voiced the way her body was reacting, "I've not felt this way for a very long time and I don't want it to stop. But I don't want to..." She pushed up a little her rising heat tampered some by her hesitation from her inexperience. "Don't want to what?" Kate asked, watching Dana intently. "I'm afraid I'll do something wrong." She admitted, "Or something too much or not enough and then you'll be gone. I know you said just feel... I'm not sure if I truly did that I'd, I'd be able to stop." Kate smiled, "You can't do it wrong, and anything you do will be enough. I'm ready for whatever you want. I mean it, ok?" "Whatever..." she thought about how long it had been since... Not just the physical part of the act weighing on her mind, but the emotional as well as the fact that regardless of where things might end up tomorrow, for a moment, a night, the emptiness could be filled. Dana had worked and lived through that emptiness for so long, she realized her normal need to plan and wanting to know the future was not important. Filling the emptiness was and right now, she had the chance to do that. Had the chance to feel as well as giving that gift to someone else. And shit, let tomorrow and where they might end up stew until tomorrow. Bringing her hands up she slid them across Kate's cheeks and then up into her hair as she leaned down to kiss the artist passionately. Smiling into the kiss, Kate wrapped her arms around Dana, her hands splaying out against the fabric of her shirt. Fabric that was thin, but still more than Kate wanted between them. "And have you thought about whatever it is you want?" "You, us tonight." And with that Dana kissed the woman again and began to explore the brunette's body, an action she knew she would be doing all night long. contact: docwho2000@hotmail.com page last modified - April 21, 2007 graphics from www.eosdev.com |
