All Ye Who Music Love
Subtitled "A New Madrigal", composer Linda Spevacek-Avery incorporates typical madrigal writing features such as "Fa la la" passages, rhythmic intricacies, and a change of meter in the middle of the song.
Shenandoah
This well-known American folksong, arranged by Jeff Funk, has been set in a lyrical and truly expressive manner.  One can almost picture the gentle lapping of the waves in the winding river.
Rainstorm
A modernistic work by Roger Emerson, Rainstorm incorporates compositional techniques of text painting and a degree of indeterminancy for effect in order to deliver a choral, visual, and sensational experience to the listener.
Windy Nights
In this setting of a text by Robert Louis Stevenson, composer Cynthia Gray expresses the author's childhood fear of storms.
Only Time
This 2001 pop hit by the Irish artist Enya has been set for chorus, quite exquisitely, by the jazz/pop arranger Kirby Shaw.
Down to the River
Another traditional folksong of Appalachian qualities, this song was featured in the motion picture "O Brother, Where Art Thou?"
Come to the Music
Another exceptionally fine choral piece by Joseph Martin, this work was composed for performance at the Texas Music Educator's Conference in 2000.  Including significant instrumental passages, this wrok is both expressive and energetic.
Hine Ma Tov
A familiar Israeli folksong, this work has been arranged with paino accompaniment and additional text by Sally K. Albrecht.
Once
By music director Carol Nicholeris, this work was premiered during the 1991 wedding of her sister, Diane, violinist with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra.
Jubilate
Brand new on the choral scene this year, Jubilate was composed by Craig Curry and is delivered with the added accompaniment of trumpet and snare drum.
Winter Light
In a style that could almost be called "New Age" for chorus, this work by Amy Bernon celebrates the beauty of memories that carry over from season to season.
Soli Deo Gloria
This work dates back to the early 1600's, but has been freshly arranged with piano accompaniment by Patrick Liebergen.
Jubilant Song
With text drawn from the Psalms, this original by Mary Lynn Lightfoot is sung both in Latin and in English.  It is set in a manner of folk dance incorporating changing meters and complex rhythms throughout.
Si Vis Amari
Quoting the traditional Latin proverb and sung in English as well, this expressively lyrical work was composed by Jerry Estes.
The Way of Peace
Quoting the Prayer of St. Francis and incorporating the famous "Canon" by Thomas Tallis, arranger Sheldon Curry dedicated this song as an expression of appreciation, "For the kind people of Trinity Church Wall Street and St. Paul's Chapel, New York, New York," after he spent time working at Ground Zero in the wake of the Twin Towers terrorist attacks on 9/11.
Benedictus
Also by Craig Curry and partnered with "Jubilate", "Benedictus" is a richly expressive farewell blessing.
