 12-1-09 Algondones Elementary School would like to put together gift bags for needy children. The bags will consist of paints, coloring books, modeling clay, markers, colored pencils and sketchpads -- rather than toys. Cash would also be greatly appreciated. There will be a basket out at the meeting in the morning. If you wish to donate and can't be at the Social tomorrow, contact one of the collection coordinators: Susan Fullas, Dena George, or Sue Overley. Thanks so much for the recent honor of Outstanding Service Award. I love the beautiful bracelet and will treasure it always.  It was such a great honor to receive the award for doing something I enjoy and thoroughly believe in - Jardineros and their work in the
community. I will continue to follow all your activities online in the coming months and wish you all well. Thanks again and it's been a great 16 years. I am listing my new address, and new e-mail in a couple of weeks.

It was a delight to give the 2009 Outstanding Service Award
to Sharon Masterson yesterday. Sharon's dedication to Jardineros and to the Placitas community made her selection as the award recipient an easy one for the board. We will miss her so much when she moves to Tulsa, but she goes with our very best wishes for happiness in her new home.

11-3-09 Holiday Party: Sunday, December 6th will be the Jardineros de Placitas Holiday Party at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort. $50 per person. Music by Inside Out Productions - play a cabaret type of music. NEW THIS YEAR: You can reserve a table in your name by reserving the entire table for $500 (10 people). You then collect the $50 per person from those at your table. Menu choice will need to be submitted to reservations chair.
