How to donate to Peanut Butter & Jelly Family Services:
For Jardineros Members only, the donation policy effective March 2009 is the following: Call Lupita at 867-2356, between 8 am and 4 pm Monday through Thursday, so that she can arrange for someone to meet you at your convenience to drop off items. Make the same call if you have large items that need to be picked up in Placitas. Remember that badly damaged furniture, unsafe or broken toys, furniture, and equipment, cannot be used. Usually the phone call to Lupita can establish whether old items can be used.

Jardineros de Placitas
PO Box 704
Placitas, NM 87043

To the generous women of Jardineros de Placitas:

On behalf of the 1,700 children and families served by PB&J Family Services, thank you for your recent donation of $------ to support our programs in Sandoval County.

PB&J's mission is to provide services and programs so at-risk children can grow to their potential. Like you, we envision a world where children are no longer victims of violence and families are nurtured and supported. In hopes to achieving this mission our families are provided with therapeutic support, case management, counseling, parenting classes, health care, nutrition instruction and food. This year PB&J worked with 1,700 families throughout the state and there are many more waiting for our help. Your donation will help us to continue this important work.

We would welcome the opportunity to thank your members in person. If you would like, I would be happy to attend an upcoming meeting to talk about our programs and the families touched by your gift. Or if the women in your group would like, we can organize a field trip and tour of our Bernalillo site. Should your group be interested in either, please contact me at 269-3054 or via email at dina@pbjfamilyservices.org.  Again, thank you for the support!

Sincerely,

Thank you so much for your continued support of PB&J! You are all so very much appreciated. Troy Martinez, Executive Director

Dear Karen,

Thank you for your donation of many children's books from your organization for the Bernalillo PB&J site. The teachers just loved them and put them in use immediately. Your organization's generosity demonstrates the care it has not only for our agency but also for our community as a whole. A simple "thank you" just never seems enough to acknowledge your support of PB&J.

PB&J's mission is to help at-risk children grow and develop to their full potential in nurturing families within a supportive community. Every year we serve nearly more than 1500 children and families in eight major programs, which include the Peanut Butter & Jelly Therapeutic Preschools in Albuquerque and in Bernalillo.

Again, thank you for your caring hearts and for being a part of our community. Together we are making a difference in the lives of those who are most vulnerable.

With deepest appreciation,

Dear Friends:

We are so very thankful for the generosity you shared with PB&J families during our 2006 Holiday Wish Program. On behalf of all the families in our programs, and our staff, we want to thank you for the caring choice you made. By giving, you also display confidence in PB&J's mission. It warms our heart to know community members understand the needs of our less fortunate children and their families, and are more than willing to respond with open hearts and kindness simply because they were asked.

Our families received wonderful and thoughtful gifts such as: food boxes and food gift cards, PNM vouchers, household items and small appliances, clothing, and warm jackets. And our precious children were well provided for with: toys, puzzles, arts and craft materials and warm clothing, jackets, gloves and hats. This community's generosity truly reflects that "the most important things in life are not things."

A simple "thank you" never seems enough to acknowledge your support for PB&J. Please know that you and your efforts are appreciated by many. It has been said that it takes a village to raise a child and we are so pleased you are a part of our village. We are grateful for your generosity and your giant heart.

Warmest greetings to you and yours, and all of us at PB&J wish you a safe and joyous new year.

Dear Friends of PB&J:

At this time of year, we are reminded of how truly blessed we are to have wonderful supporters like you! We are constantly working to find innovative, effective ways to break what too frequently is an intergenerational cycle of family dysfunction. Your gift will make it possible for us to help parents learn the skills they need to provide safe - and loving - homes for their children and to assure these youngsters have a brighter future. These contributions will also enhance our child abuse prevention and treatment programs, including the Peanut Butter & Jelly Therapeutic Preschools.

As we prepare for a new year, we're proud of the fact that we are well positioned to be able to serve more than 1,500 individuals and their families in our various programs during the coming year. In all our programs we strive to prevent family violence, reduce family dysfunction and provide support so that the children are raised in safe and nurturing homes. Our programs have excellent outcomes. Your continued generosity is greatly appreciated and is vitally important to our ever-expanding work of serving children and strengthening families. We see it as love in action.

Please know there are many ways PB&J will use your contribution to help parents and children. We are honored to say thank you and let you know how very much we appreciate your support commitment to our organization. Because of your dedication, the future for hundreds of New Mexico's children is a brighter one. That's a wonderful gift! Warmest regards . . . .

Dear Jardineros de Placitas,

You have been a wonderful supporter of PB&J Family Services during the years. Because we value your support and commitment to PB&J, we wanted to let you know that our co-founder and longtime Executive Director, Angie Vachio, has decided to retire in 2006. The Board of Directors has established a Transition Committee, made up of Board members, to actively lead the transition process.

We wish to assure you that the transition will not disrupt the work of the agency. The Transition Committee will begin accepting applications for the Executive Director position on March 19, 2006 and hope that you will encourage possible successors to contact us.

Angie's shoes will be hard to fill but we have the utmost confidence that PB&J's experienced management and staff will make the transition as seamless as possible. All of us at PB&J are committed to helping troubled families learn the skills they need to provide safe and nurturing homes for their children.

Thank you for all that you have given to PB&J. We look forward to your continued support and confidence.

Very truly yours,

(signed by)

Juanita Sanchez

PB&J Board of Directors

added handwritten note:

Thank you for your continued support of our cherished work. Please stay stuck on Peanut Butter and Jelly! With my love and eternal thanks, M----- (can't read writing; WM)
