This was Andy Reid's first draft with
the Eagles. Without a doubt , the selection of Donovan McNabb was the
greatest selection of his career. While the fans called for Ricky Williams
and the football experts and radio hosts called for him too, Andy realized
that a franchise is built with a Quarterback first. While there were
other QB's to consider like Culpepper, Couch, McNown, Smith, Andy wanted
Donavan. Who, of the other QB's mentioned, would you rather have right
now? Or would the Eagles still be the winningest team in football today,
had Andy taken Ricky Williams?
