Third Round

The Eagles basically have a couple key needs to fill.  Line backer, Tight end,  Running back, Defensive End  to name  a few.

  • Aaron Walker-- TE .    At 6-5, 255 lb , he is a big target with good hands.  If the Eagles don't pick up one either Witten or Clark, look for the them to go in the direction of Walker.
  • Ben Johnson--- OT.  Big imposing offensive Tackle.  He's 6-6 , 325 lb and can give the Eagles some needed depth on the Offensive line.  Right now , the Eagles don't have any backup to the tackle.  Wellbourn is the backup tackle but he is also your starting Guard.  With Brezenski gone (Welbourn's backup),  if he moved to play tackle, it would leave a hole in the middle.  And Johnson played for Wisconson.  The Eagles Offensive coordinator, Brad Childress was the former Offensive coordinator at Wisconson so he has connections with the school.
  • Terrence Holt--- S.  Another aggressive safety with a nose for the ball and a for the big play maker.  Blocked 8 field goals and 4 punts in his college career at  NC State.   A superior special team player.  A steal of a pick.
