Defensive Linemen
Defensive
Ends
- Terrell Suggs - This 6-4, 255 lb junior from
Arizona State is the top DE in the country - bar none. He will be
among the first players picked and definitely the first DE picked. He
is a sack machine recording a single season high of 23 sacks ....an
NCAA all time record. He is a bit undersized at 255 but he can easily
add 20 more lbs on his frame and become a monster player in the NFL.
- DeWayne White - This 6-2, 280 lb junior from
Louisville is one of the best DE in the draft. Nice combination of
size and speed. Good at stopping the run and the pass.
- Jerome McDougle - This 6-2, 260 senior from Miami
was the team's best DE this year. Great all-around player.
- Michael Hayes - This 6-3, 280 lb senior from
Penn St is a solid DE. Productive player with nice speed. Looks
like a second round pick and a good one at that.
Defensive
Tackles
- Jimmy Kennedy - This 6-4, 330 lb senior from
Penn St is the top tackle in the draft. He will be highly prized. A
top 5 draft pick overall. With his size , the middle will be a difficult
place to run. A elite player
- DeWayne Robertson - The 6-3, 310 lb junior from
Kentucky will be one of the first DT to go in the first. Nice size
and quickness make for a potential NFL star.
- William Joseph - This 6-3, 300 lb senior from Miami
will also be among the top DT picked in the first round. Will be a
good player for years to come. Very durable and strong.
- Rien Long - This 6-5, 290 lb junior form Wash St
is also a top pick. Strong , tall player who can stuff the middle.
Won't last long .
