Linebackers
- E.J. Henderson - This 6-2, 240 lb senior
from Maryland is one of the top line backers in the draft this year. He
plays the middle position and will probably go in the second round.
- Terry Pierce - This 6-2, 250 lb junior from
Kansas State also plays the middle position. He has great speed for
a player his size. Although only a junior, he may be the first linebacker
picked in the draft. He will go in the late first round.
- Gerald Hayes - This 6-2, 245 lb senior from Pittsburgh
plays the middle linebacker position. He is better at stopping the
run than the pass. He is a good prospect that will probably go in the
second round.
- Boss Bailey - This 6-2, 230 lb senior from
Georgia plays the outside spot. He is light for a linebacker but makes
up for it with his speed. He is fast and better in coverage than the
run. His brother Champ will give his name some pub. Knees are
a question in my mind. He will get drafted in the second or third
round although many have him going earlier. He plays more like a safety
than a linebacker.
