Honor the Fallen - Vigil for Peace
Friday, October 13, 2006 at 7:00pm  - (Print Flyer)
Courthouse at 45 South Main Street in Bel Air, MD

Once again another tragic milestone has been met.....Now 2700 brave American soldiers have given their lives in this disaster they call a war for freedom.

Come join us on Friday, Oct. 13th for a Candle Vigil for Peace @ the Harford County Courthouse across from 45 S. Main St. Bel Air, Md. @7PM.

As always you are welcome to use our signs and candles, or bring your own.

Last vigil there were 85 people present. This was quite encouraging to all of us to realize that we are not alone in our quest for peace. As our group continues to grow, we feel it is very important for us to stay focused on our agenda, and that is to respect the troops and speak out against the war in Iraq.

While the election is coming up and the importance of voting for peace is quite obvious in a group such as ours, the difference of opinions on who the best candidate may be does vary among us all. For this reason, we ask that all campaigning for individual candidates be limited to flyers with their beliefs. These flyers can be put along the brick wall for people to pick up at their discretion throughout the vigil. It is a good thing to offer information on the different candidates, but we do not want to lose the momentum of our group by having rivalry between the different political parties side track us from our goal.

CLICK HERE FOR A PRINTABLE FLYER.  Please feel free to print out these flyers and put them up on community bulletin boards, work bulletin boards, under car windshields, neighbor's mailbox... where ever you think it would be noticed. Personally, I target cars with any type of bumpersticker showing that they care about the world in anyway.... even if their kid is an "honor student..again, again, and again" (Let's face it, what good are those straight A's going to do their son when he ends up getting drafted?).

So we look forward to seeing you at the vigil, and as always if you have any comments or questions, please feel free to email us at anytime.

    Susan and Michael

Note:  We DO Respect and honor families who have lost loved ones and may not agree with us.  If they support the war; everyone must cope and come to terms with their loss.  We respect them for doing so.
