1999-2001 Director of Information Technology
Responsible for all computer and telecommunications technology, including security, development, training, evaluation and purchasing, and maintenance of PCs and Macs.
Film House, Inc., Nashville, Tennessee: Produces TV ads promoting radio stations. Additionally films commercials for the U.S. Department of Defense's Armed Forces Radio and Television Service (AFRTS).
Planned and implemented a strategy for connecting Film House's local area network (LAN) to the Internet.
Served as advisor in the creation of Film House's dot-com spin-off (EZsweeps.com), including evaluating potential partners and monitoring the teams that built its software and infrastructure.
Protected the company against threats to LAN security by means of user education, firewall protection (Checkpoint-based firewall), monitoring firewall, server, and web logs, and security software like COPS and Tripwire. Another part of security strategy involved keeping up with known vulnerabilities and applying patches and updates.
