Here are two pictures of some excellent speakers my dad built from a kit back in the eighties. They're from Fried (pronounced like "freed") Products and are two-way transmission line speakers. Three sets of cabinets were built, one each for my dad, my brother, and myself. My pair were finished in a lighter color than the ones pictured here. They're among the best sounding speakers I've ever heard.

All my music is mixed and recorded using these speakers.

The kit included the drivers, crossover, building plans for the cabinets, and foam insulation to line the inside of the cabinets, so my dad had to do some very clever woodwork to cut and finish out the strange angles of the cabinets.
