Thanks for visiting. I'm J Warren Collins. My family calls me J(ay). I thought this might be a convenient way to share personal information. My apologies to those who may see my openness as anything but a willingness to communicate. The enlightened are invited to contact me through the usual channels. I'm always friendly, yielding, and approachable.

I' m young/open-minded (although I draw the line fashion-wise on jailhouse neck tattoos and/or multiple piercings). I was born in Houston, Texas on Christmas Eve, 1948. Height just at 5'10", 190 pounds. My physique is contoured....always working semi-successfully at some sort of 'washboard' effect, and I stay reasonably proportioned. Scot-Irish.... southern family. Manner, accent and speech patterns are West Coast and Midwest influenced. Divorced, no children, no pets. I am retired from Government, having been involved with an assortment of technical projects related to federal health care systems. I own a home in Gwinnett county. I'm reasonably spirited, energetic, curious, creative. I enjoy small tools and color and my repose is to design home items that are functional such as furniture, paintings, and other things eclectic. I live honestly with integrity, but can be playful. Honorably discharged Veteran - Nuclear Submarine Navy. Bachelor of Science, 1983. I can be a bit of a homebody at times, I spontaneously enjoy life's adventures as well as quiet times. Quiet, yet a skilled conversationalist (however not tolerant of babbling small talk). Peaceful yet cautiously adventurous. Capable/self sufficient. Intelligent in a way middle class people in America are allowed to be. Trusting and trustworthy. Self content and self assured. Enjoy Beatles to Strauss, Chris Isaak, Pink Floyd, Heart, Classics (eg Mendellsohn, Rossini, others), rock 'n roll in various stages of hardness (to the point where melody is not lost), some Broadway musicals, atmospheres and soundscapes, (Rap ANNOYS me, punk was exactly that) PBS, NPR, Discovery/TLC, HiDef broadcasts, current events, and classic movies. Enamored with the back yard ... a quiet barbeque....an afternoon in the garden. I enjoy change of seasons although I most enjoy the mildness of morning in the spring and early summer. I've worked and lived abroad. I exercise daily. Neither conservative nor liberal, Republican nor Democrat, mostly just 'normal' with the usual concerns for Universe and Country. I have the typical male imperfections. I can be playful when appropriate, maybe a little naughty from time to time, but never to the point of embarrassment. Neither rich nor poor. I admire common sense and ponder its rarity.

I've had the luck to have traveled over the years... don't let this throw you because the following is over a long period......I've enjoyed Swiss friends and English mates. I've seen the sky from Skye, the Firth of Forth, Scapa Floe, Arthur's Seat, Scara Brae, Canary Islands to Crete, Kit Carson pass to St. Kitts, danced with highlanders, seen Fergie and Andy at Trafalger, over-nighted the Alps. I've surfed Oahu, canoed the Hatchet and sailed the Gulf, the Pacific, Atlantic, Med, Aegean, the North Sea. Walked the Canyon and up the Jungfrau, the Matterhorn, Hundstein, the Juras, driven the PCH, felt the cold sting of Juan de Fuca straights, Athens from the Acropolis, New York from the ground, Africa from the air, Seattle from the Needle, felt April breezes of San Diego, San Juan, San Jacinto, the wet air of New Orleans, the spring of San Francisco. I was at Altamont (missed the Stones), gambled modestly at Monte Carlo, Lucerne, Vegas, Tenerife, Reno, Tahoe, Atlantic City, Paradise Island, aboard several ships and Central American cities. I've walked over glacial icebergs at Anchorage, sailed under the Golden Gate, fished the Keys , and dived wrecks off Central America. I enjoy the peace of home and the comfort of Ionian memories, Tuscan goodbyes. I hope to experience much of it again perhaps with a friend. If not...that's OK too. Of course, there's no place like;

My home in Atlanta (Gwinnett County)
