Pictures of the elevators are a little spotty, I didn't keep track of the progress as well as I would have liked. Here is the RH elevaor skin primed and with the stiffeners back riveted on. The back riveting went well, though I had a little difficulty at first. The Avery tool has a convex head which meant that it was hard to keep centered on the rivet. I ordered a Cleaveland version that had a flat ground end which was easier for me to handle.

Here the skeleton has been installed into the elevator skin in preparation for riveting. I riveted these using the pneumatic squeezer and they came out great. Rolling the leading edges was also pretty straight forward.

Working on the LH side that has the trim tab. Bending the trim tab ears gave me a good amount of grief. Here you see attempt number three (!) which came out great. When bending the prior attempts, the wedge blocks moved causing a bend too far toward the center. Keeping the wedges fixed in place is the key to doing this right the first time.
