The flap components assembled in the v-jigs and fitting the spar and ribs. From here all the holes are match drilled and the actuator bracket is fabricated.

An end view of all the components clecoed together. I am now working on the actuator bracket and will fit it while in this stage.

This is the result if you follow the spacing on the plans for the actuator angle bracket rivet spacing. On the other side I moved the holes in just slightly. Ken at Vans said the edge distance is not a problem - go with it.

The actuator bracket taking shape. This is one place where a bandsaw is rather nice. My files are also getting a workout.

Here is the bracket that caused the close edge spacing above. When those three rivet holes nearest the bend are placed per the plans, edge spacing is violated on the end rib.

Starting to rivet the flaps together. The ribs are installed and the skins joined. Take time here, bucking these rivets is a pain and there is not much room.

The spar, actuator, and hinge pin installed. The hinge pin came out great, it can be slid in with ease the whole length. We'll see if that is still the case after the other half is installed on the wing.

A complete flap, this time viewed from the end.
