Here is a view of the front side of the assembly. Note that they drilled my spars for an 8A instead of an 8. There are 12 1/4" holes that will either get filled with AN4 bolts, or sent back for some jumbo rivets. I have an email in to Vans. From Vans - all spars are now shipped with the rivets missing and the holes enlarged to 1/4". I just need to order some AN4 hardware to fill them up. | ||||

The spar blocks as designed by Randy Griffin (via Randy Lervold's rv8.com web site). I downloaded the drawing files posted there and had a set made. | ||||

All the firewall parts were match drilled to the firewall and then removed, deburred, and primed. After I dimple the firewall the parts are ready to rivet on. I have the ground adjustable rudder pedals, so there are no reinforcement plates for the cable attachment. | ||||
