Sep 15 2002 - Finished off the wing center section. Here is a view of the aft side of the assembly.

Oct 18 2002 - After installing the new firewall weldments, I re-installed the firewall into the jig, finished the main longeron bends and twists, and mounted the bulkheads.

Oct 29 2002 - I fit the lower longerons, forward skins, and RH middle skin to the fuselage. I was unhappy with the lower longeron alignment on the RH side, so I ordered a replacement part. Here is a shot of the interior with the 2-7/8" spacer blocks between the center section bulkheads. I'm making sure everything is perfect at this stage since errors will ripple down the fuse.

Here is an exterior view of the progress above. So far all skins are fitting excellent and jig alignment remains very close. The spar angle is exactly 89.5 degrees (0.5 degrees per the plans) and the horizontal level reads 0.0 so things are looking good. The skin has to come off now to bend the rear corner over.
