I decided to tackle the Dynon remote compass module mounting. Here are the parts I made up primed and ready to assemble.

I goofed on the base piece, it should have been wider for easier module mounting, but the module fits and so I'll proceed.

Here you can see what I mean - getting the screws in is going to be a little harder than if I left a little more room.

The module is mounted rearward and the overhang is on purpose. I'll tie the cable to the front edge securely since I will not use a backshell on this connector.

The bracket mounted on the F809 bulkhead. This was about the best place free of disturbances that I could identify. The next forward bulkhead would have put the canopy frame nearby.

The only nearby object is the manual elevator trim cable. It is still the best I could come up with, though. Hopefully good enough.

Note the lacing cord holes in the front to secure the wiring.

The module is mounted and cabled up (this end at least). The downward slant of the base matches the angle that the D10 sits in the panel, it is not parallel to the longitudinal axis.

One big suggestion - if you go this route, make this sucker before you rivet on the top skins. I spent an entire day climbing into and out of the fuselage so many times I lost count. *MUCH* easier if that skin were off.

I just need to continue routing the cable.
