Dec 25 2003 - I fabricated the mounting brackets for the fuel pump and filter assembly. The bracket from Todd didn't work out with the placement of my firewall feedthru so I opted to use some of his design and some of the Vans design.

Mar 19 2004 - I am going to install a 90 degree adapter from Casper Labs for the oil filter. Here is what is included - the adapter, a filter, and all gaskets & crush washers.

Unfortunately, I need a spacer to clear the engine mount. They sell several sizes, here I have the adapter spaced at 1.5" which is the middle size available. The spacer block and bolt kit is on the way.

A shot from above. Everything clears well and in fact the oil cooler plumbing is eased with this setup over the spin on adapter.

Finally installed the exhaust hangers. I needed to deviate from the plans since those lower engine mount tubes that for an "X" get in the way near the sump bolts.

Here you can see that I used a bolt forward of the one recommeded.

On the LH side, I reversed the clamp to get it away from the mixture cable. As on the other side, this side also used the bolt forward of that recommended.

Oil cooler installed. The spacer tubes are cut 1/8" short and an AN washer installed between the flange and spacer on each end. The LH bolts are AN3-42 and the inner bolts are AN3-41.

Fabricated a mount for the Lightspeed ignition coils. The angle is high to get the coils up away from the injection spiders.

The supplied wires easily fit with this arrangement. An earlier attempt with the coils facing aft would not reach.
