Mar 26 2004 - I received six hoses that I ordered from Precision Hose Technology and they turned out perfect. I was worried about my measurements. Here the purge return line is routed aft to the baffle and then through an AN833 elbow.

Aft of the baffle, another hose runs to the firewall and is secured with a clamp. The clamp uses one of the bolt holes from the brake reservoir that I am no longer using. I still need to fill the fluid hole. Another 90 degree fitting will penetrate the firewall.

The new governor hose is secured to the intake tubes with WDG26 clamps. You can also see the fuel supply line to the distribution block clamped to an oil sump bolt.

The governor hose is secured up front as well.

The hose lengths result in plenty of clearance all around. It looks close, but the fuel supply has a lot of clearance to the engine mount tube. The camera angle is deceiving.

The oil supply and return lines nicely circle the engine mount. I ended up using the short 16.5" hose from Vans for both lines. Both engine fittings are 45 degree elbows. These two still need to have firesleeve installed.

Just the breather and fuel pump overflow remain to be plumbed.

Mar 27 2004 - I finished off the purge system. At the pivot arm I used a wire grip and one of the 10-32 ball joints from Vans. I had to remove the bracket that mounts the whole assembly to the engine and mill a flat area for the screw to seat against. Otherwise it was on the radiused inside curve. I'm thinking about how to add a spring to force the valve into the 'run' position should the wire break.

The bowden cable just curves aft to the baffle wall where I used a cable clamp.

And then it winds its way into the firewall. I'll goop up the firewall penetration with Proseal a little later.

The return plumbing taps into the RH tank feed line before the Andair valve. The return line is a -4, so I have a male-female reducer since the tee is a -6. The tubing just runs forward to the 90 degree fitting on the firewall. The area through the gear box is covered with vinyl tubing as specified in the plans.

Its kind of hard to see, but the heater bowden cable is also run. The heater scat tubing is finalized as well.
