Sep 22 2003 - This finish kit arrived.

Everything has been unpacked and no damage. I just need to inventory the bag contents and then its back to the wiring.

Sep 29 2003 - I fabricated and fit the canopy slide track, side rails, and the frame to the fuselage. All this fit very well.

A little hard to see, but I used a 1/2" Forstner bit to drill the counterbores in the nylon block. This allows a socket to fit onto the nuts to tighten.

Oct 1 2003 - I fabricated and installed some brackets to hold the strobe power supply. Since my floors are removable, I decided to put it under the left side. The L-Brackets rivet to the floor ribs.

The power supply mounted. The rudder cable is quite a bit higher and doesn't come close under tension.

I used vinyl tubing to plumb the pitot and static lines.

Oct 7 2003 - I finished up the flap motor wiring. The tubing is from the static port kit and supports the wires. The connector is a two pin version as used on the Whelen strobe supply. There is no motion of the wires exiting the motor and the connector, only the tubing flexes.

Here is the motor in the flaps up position. The tubing does not touch the arm rest.

A shot with the floors installed. I just notched the flooring where the tubing comes up through the floor attach angle. I was going to wire the flap position sensor into the ACS monitor, but for now I'm going to leave it off. The wires are run, but mounting the sensor and linking it to the flap arm is more work than I want to deal with right now. The arm has a lot of movement so getting it down to 1 inch will require something very close to the pivot.
