Oct 5 2003 - The wiring continues. Here is the RH side console with the dimmer pots and boards mounted. The forward rheostat controls an EL strip mounted to the glareshield underside. The next pot is the instrument light dimmer and finally the eyeball (map) light dimmer.

This time in the fuselage with all the wiring complete. The shielded wires heading aft go to the rear seat headphone and mic jacks. All the dimmer lights worked great in the darkened garage. Total current draw with everything cranked up is .8A.

The fuse block wiring is coming along. The block in the center is a diode module made by Eric Jones.

The heatshrink labels make identifying a particular fuse easy.

Oct 12 2003 - I mounted the voltage regulator on the fwd side of the RH gear box. The battery (tray visible at bottom) has been removed for access.

The ground block has also been mounted, here on the firewall RH side ahead of the battery. After a few more wires are added, final bundling can be done.

A general shot with almost all of the wiring complete. I still need to wire all the engine monitor sensors after the engine arrives and is mounted.

Oct 17 2003 - I wiredup the push to talk button. The hole in the stick has a small nylon bushing press fit and glued in to keep the wires from chafing. The connector is a Molex SL series with latch. There is plenty of slack in the wiring and I can pull out more wire as needed.

Here the stick is in position. Unlike this shot, I'll put the connector after the tiedown block when installed for good so that the wires will not flex at the connector body.
