York Beach 2004 Vacation

Just returned from week in York Beach, Maine. The yearly vacation is always a time to relax and recharged.  It always takes me about 4 days to get into the vacation grove.  By Wednesday, we all where into the vacation routine of getting up early to head to the beach around 8:30 AM, returning at 12:00noon for lunch, and heading back down after hide tide at around 4:00PM.   Nights where very low key this year.  I seems we where all asleep by 9:00PM.   Mom, Dad and John's family stopped by for dinner on Wednesday evening.   Good to see everybody.  I bought some cedar planks at Hannafords supermarket and cooked up some Salmon and Ribs (Cedar Plank Grilling).  Really easy and good.  This will be part of the menu for Jone's beach week-end.   Took alot of pictures this year of the family.  Will want to digitise them so I can post them on my web blog.

Time for Vacation

I am only a couple of days away from a week off. Last time we where all away for a week was in March for a ski vacation at Loon Mt. We are all looking forward to get away and relax. I am committed for the first time not to bring my laptop along. I will have my PDA and Phone so I wont be totally disconnected. It's been a really busy week trying to get all my open loops closed. David Allen said in is "Getting Thing's Done" book that when you go on vacation is when you try your best to close all your open loops. I believe he is right.
