Hall of Shame Latest Addition - 3/5/02:
Stephen Schneider, PhD.
Radical green and professor of biological sciences at Stanford University,
Dr. Stephen Schneider, does not place a great deal of value in the truth -
at least not when it comes to telling the truth about the environment.
"...like most people we'd like to see the world a better place. . . . To
do that we need to get some broad-based support, to capture the public's
imagination. That, of course, entails getting loads of media coverage. So
we have to offer up scary scenarios, make simplified, dramatic statements,
and make little mention of any doubts we might have. . . . Each of us has
to decide what the right balance is between being effective and being
honest."

Did you get that? We plebian scum are farrrr too ignorant and simple to
appreciate the realities of the issue. Better that we are spoon fed
"simplified, dramatic statements" and "scary scenarios".
Here's a scary scenario for you - that elitist eco-Nazi's like Schneider
actually have any credibility at all...then again, maybe I am being
"simplified" in my "dramatic statements"...
