Freelance Writer and Editor
As a freelance writer and editor located in the Chicago area, my specialties are business writing, technical documentation and Web content.
My credentials include a master's degree in journalism from Boston University and more than a decade of experience as a writer.
I got my start at Avid Technology, where I worked as a senior technical writer documenting Avid film and video editing systems from 1990 to 1995. Since then, I've worked as a freelancer for a wide range of clients, covering everything from asthma to software, housing issues to Web technology.

Regardless of the topic, my focus for every project is on understanding and achieving the communication objectives of my clients.
For example, some common goals are to:

- Help people understand how to use new technology.
- Define a shared vocabulary and knowledge base for solving problems.
