Family
Visits & The Holidays
We
feel very blessed to have so many family and friends make the trip to
come visit with Mia and get to know her. She's met her Cousins, Aunts,
Uncles, Grandmas and Grandpas. She's met her future baby sitters (hint,
hint), her future best buddies, and other furry, four legged friends
as well. She's adjusted so well to life here in the U.S. and with us
that we're constantly amazed.
Mia
is very close to walking which just frightens Mom and Dad. We know that
once she figures out how those little legs work, there will be no rest
for us. The dogs either! She's eating lots of new things and quite by
accident is mostly a vegetarian like her Daddy. She loves spicy food
which we think is due to her orphanage putting salt in with her formula
at an early age. Still not sure why they choose to do that, but it's
definitely given her a preference for flavorful foods.
She
is a huge fan of books. Her favorite activity is to curl up on your
lap and have you read to her. I just placed another order at Amazon
for more books since Mom and Dad are a bit tired of the 15 we've already
memorized. We're definitely encouraging it and love to have all that
cuddle time with her. She continues to love her baths and usually averages
30 minutes each night in the tub. She's just starting to figure out
how fun the dogs are and one of her favorite passtimes is sloshing around
in their water bowl. (Much to Mom's shagrin).
Mia
is such a joy. She wakes up happy, goes to sleep without complaint and
loves to interact with you. It still amazes us that we've only had her
in our lives for less than 3 months. There is no doubt that she is our
daughter and meant for our family.
