Travel Itinerary:

October 3rd, 2003
Portland to Hong Kong -
The beginning of our adoption travel! We did decide to put in a few extra tours before our adoption portion of our travels begins. So we'll be spending one night in Hong Kong.

October 4th, 2003

Hong Kong to Guilin
- Guilin China is written as one of the most picturesque areas of China. We decided to add this tour to our trip in the hopes that it would get us out of the big cities and allow us to see part of the beautiful rural countryside of our daughter's country. We'll be spending 4 days in this area.

October 8th, 2003

Guilin to Beijing
- We'll be spending 4 days in this vibrant and exciting Chinese city. It is here that we will meet some of our fellow ASIA families and get to spend some time with them "pre-baby".

October 12th, 2003
Beijing to Changsha
- This is the closest major city to our daughter's orphanage. We're not sure, but since her orphanage is approximately 6 hours away, we most likely will not be able to go visit. Traveling in China is not like traveling around Europe. So much of the country is restricted access and therefore not possible to go to. It is here, in Changsha, that we will meet all the other ASIA families and we'll be one day away from meeting our daughter! We will process all of the provincial paperwork for the adoption. All this is necessary before we travel to Guangzhou where we take care of the U.S. portion of the paperwork.

October 19th, 2003
Changsha to Guangzhou
- Here we have our U.S. government appointments. She will be given her medical examination, given her Chinese passport, her U.S. visa, etc. It is the final step in this long adoption paperwork trail!

October 22nd, 2003
Guangzhou to Hong Kong
- We're slowly making our way back home. One night layover in Hong Kong.

October 23rd, 2003
Hong Kong to Portland
- We'll be back home! Baby Sedory becomes a U.S. citizen as soon as we touch down on U.S. soil.
