SSB Exciter
These were low power SSB/CW/AM Exciters designed to run into the 1KW RF Amplifiers. They put out about 1 watt. Frequency is fully digital. It supplies the frequency, low-low rf power and modulation.

This unit does not have its own tank circuit. It relies on the amplifier for that. In low power mode (amp attached) it drives the lower power output stage of the amp - the 8122 - to about 100 watts. In high power mode, the 4CX1500 and high voltage is switched in giving an output in excess of legal limits.
