K8IVC Geo-Caching in the Jungles of South Carolina
K8IVC recently went "Geo-caching" in the jungles of South Carolina. This pic-ture was taken on Hilton-Head Island where there are several good caches to be found. The overhead tree-canopy made it difficult to get good gps signals however. While searching for this par-ticular cache, a big black snake and 5-foot long alligator were seen. Other hazards included mosquitos carrying the West-Nile Virus and poison ivy, which grows everywhere.
