In West Bloomfield, Michigan (my QTH), which is a suburb of Detroit, they don't care very much for antennas. It doesn't matter what there for, "they just don't want to see them". When a local cellular company wanted to put up another tower in a conspicuous location, township officials made them disguise the antenna so it blended-in with the surroundings. My wife says that this is the "stupidest" thing that she has ever seen. You can imagine their attitude toward "ham radio" antennas. |
