The Spokane / Coeur d'Alene Scanner listing is no longer actively updated. Thank you to everyone who have followed the listing over the last 14 years of production. I no longer have a active source for new frequencies. If anyone has a source of new frequencies please let me know or just email them to me and I will add them to the list. The listing will still be available online for anyone who would like it. Most of the frequencies have not changed in years. We are not like the up and coming large cities that have changed all the public service over to trunking. We may never see that in Spokane. This page will continue to be update to include interesting links for the scanner enthusiast. The scanning enthusiasm has seem to slow down. The two stores that were consistent distributors of the listing have gone out of business. Thanks to Don's tronics and Imtec. |

The Spokane / Coeur d'Alene Scanner Listing is a listing of scanner frequencies I have been printing since 1990. The list includes over 800 frequencies covering Emergency Services, Amateur Radio, U.S. Government including Fairchild Air Force Base, Railroads, Businesses, 800 mhz trunked systems and many more. It is divided into three colored sections for easy reference. |

| Uniden/Bearcat BC-230XLT This has been an excellent handheld scanner. I have had it about a year. I previously owned a Icom R1 communications receiver. It was nice due to the size and I could use the accessories for my 24AT but the selectivity was lousy. We have a local sherriff's department that generates a 1500 watt ERP signal and it just hammered the R1. The 230XLT is much better for intermod rejection. One of the features I really like about this radio is the 100 channel per second scan rate and the 300 channel per second search rate. |

| Icom W32A I desided it was time to upgrade the old handheld. This radio does about everything a amateur would want in a handheld. A big plus is PC programmability. I am very impressed with this handheld. It is very user friendly. There is no function button to worry about like on most of the Icom HT's. Scan rate is fairly quick as compared to some of the older radios. Like the Q7A below and the R2 receiver it uses the same cable for programming. |
