Widow Sarah Hatch was in court for the second or possibly a third time and represented by Samuel Sprague who pleaded her case for her. Perhaps the court rejected her first proposal because it did not sufficiently protect the estate for her sons. The inventory was made by William Hatch and Jeremiah Hatch about August 1684. Thomas had two brothers, William and Jeremiah. Their father, Thomas of Scituate, died in Scituate around 1642.
