Today I thought I would write a general update. I have updated the site... Played with the toys that come with it. I hope it has enough information... I think I am not using everything to it's fullest extent, but I am really new at this.

The couple I married in April, just had their baby. July 20th, 2008. He is a beautiful baby boy. I am trying to convince them that I should preform the wiccaning. But we are waiting until he is three months old. The naming will most likely be the same ceremony. It is easier that way and they usually recognize their names by then.

I have performed a total of 3 ceremonies this year. I think I am doing 2 more. It has been a full season for me. I have a lot of leads for more, but that is all so far.

So, Saturday was my first wedding of the year. I have several this summer. I had a lot to do in the planning of this ceremony. It was my best friend in high school. I hadn't seen her or her family in about 15 years. It was good to see them all again. I have missed them very much.

It was amazing to see how much had changed, while so much stayed the same. I walked into this group expecting tobe treated like a stranger and held at arms length. After all, fifteen years is a long time to have just walked away from people. But they treated me just as they used to. I was one of the family, and indeed, I got a lecture from mom about my absence from the family and they all demanded my contact info and my family pictures and forced me to recite names of my children and spouses until they were commited to memory :)

It made me happy and I had a great time. The wedding was a little hectic, but everything was beautiful if not small and intimate. So, that was the first of the season and the first of many more.

So far I have performed two weddings this summer, I am planning my third and writing a fourth. I am looking at the possibility of another at least three this year and a good likelihood of more clients from the previous weddings. Oh and one consultant job were I will not be preforming. I think that is a good year. 

Usually my year runs from May through September. Like eventing season, which is where I usually do most of my work. This year the season started in April, I preformed a good friend of mines wedding in April, attended her baby shower, and then our aunts birthday (She might as well be family). Then I helped another friend plan a ceremony for someone else, but that was stricktly over the web. Then I went clear out to Pendleton to preform a wedding there. It was a great trip and I had great company. (Karma went with me) Then I am helping another friends sister to plan her wedding.

The couple I am marrying this month says they have friends we are also getting hitched soon, so I may have a lot more work coming my way. Along with this I am also finding some really good organization web sites and some nice supplies along the way. It will be nice to get some professional stuff.
