of invocation to open the "Concert for Asia, a fundraiser to benefit
victims of the tsunami featuring many prominent local musicians performing
songs from the famed Concert for Bangladesh.

Sri Ganesha Temple presents Trimurti Aradhana, a day-long festival of
Carnatic music featuring the compositions of Sri Tyagaraja, Sri Muthuswamy
Dikshitar and Sri Shyama Shastri, performed by music lovers from Tennessee,
Georgia and Kentucky. All Kala Nivedanam music students participate in
this annual event.
Carnatic Vocal Concert by Dr. S. Mahadevan

Dr. Mahadevan performs a full-length vocal concert at RPI, accompanied
by Dr. Shivkumar Kalyanaraman on the violin and Mahalingam on the mridangam.

Monica Cooley performs several devotional Bharatanatyam pieces for the
Nashville Bahai Center at a Unity Feast in memory of the victims of the
tsunami, the Iraq war and other recent disasters.
Week of the Young Child International Day

Monica Cooley performs a short dance and talks about Indian culture to
young children as part of the "Week of the Young Child" educational
program. This program was arranged through the auspices of the Global
Education Center.
Vanderbilt Dance Program Spring Concert

The Vanderbilt Dance Program's Intermediate/Advanced Bharatatnatyam class
performs at VDP's Spring Concert. This concert celebrates 30 years since
the founding of the Vanderbilt Dance Program and features many styles
of dance taught at VDP including Bharatanatyam, ballet, jazz, modern,
hip-hop, Spanish, Middle Eastern, African, and Irish dance.

Bharatantyam for the Diverstity Day activities at Webb School. This program
highlights the cultural contributions of minority students at Webb.
