An Honored Teammate is a very special individual who has battled or who is battling leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, myeloma or other blood-related cancers. It is in their honor or memory that you participate in Team In Training® (TNT). An Honored Teammate can be someone you know personally.

My personal honored teammate this year is, once again, my dad, Verlon Stone.
The honored teammates for my team, the Nike 26.2 Marathon in San Francisco are Laurie Rosenberg and Traceyann Anderson.
Throughout the season, we do activities to get to know our team honored teammates and share about our personal honored teammates, as we feel comfortable, to allow everyone to develop some personal connection to the cause. The bravery and strength of our honored teammates continues to motivate us throughout the season.
