elcome to the Njordlund Campaign. This is a fantasy campaign setting for use with the GURPS RPG. To play in this setting a copy of the GURPS Basic Rulebook 4/Edition is very useful and players are encouraged to read and/or acquire copies for themselves. The setting is high fantasy, with a non-gunpowder using TL3 society. The campaign, despite being fantasy based, should have a degree of verisimilitude; in other words no dungeons packed with combatant orcs with no visible means of support. PCs should have some background in the world and players are encouraged to read through the campaign information and use it accordingly.
Njordlund is the largest and most important of the New Kingdoms of Kevrok. The world is called many things in many different languages: in the Southron tongue it is simply Earth, to the Elves it is Llothfyndi, the Dwarves call it Varmintoth, the Orcs Vargrata. What ever you call it it is home to many intelligent species and many more cultures. Kevrok is the largest continent and is centrally located between several other landmasses. The elves are the most confident sailors and can be found anywhere and travel far during their long lives. Dwarves are the oldest of the major cultures on Kevrok, though Orcs, Gargoyles, the Felis and Hjolmeeri have been there for a very long time as well. Other humans and Reptilemen are natives of the southern continent of Fardoe, though the former have all but completely abandoned their homeland. Centaurs and the Winged Folk share a home with the Elves on Aevalanth. The Ellyllon are natives of a small chain of volcanic islands, only recently explored by the Elves. Minotaurs, trolls, giants, djinn, fishmen, halflings, gnomes, ogres, and dragons all have their own lands (actually, dragons live where they will).
Navigation Notes: The Title Bar above should appear with all pages in the Njordlund Campaign site, it is a link back to this page and the Table of Contents below. Other navigation may be done with the active links within each page and also by your navigation bar. Each page includes a date last modified and a mailto link to me, the current GM. If you see something that should be corrected or edited please use that link as it automatically tells me which page has the error so that I can more easily fix it. Thanks.
On pages with indexes at their tops the section headings are active links back to the top of those pages.
